Animator Studio Drive has been hired to make the third season of このすば. The studio is known for a number of hit anime including Fate/Grand Order, Actors: Songs Connection, and Vlade Love.
The third season will adapt the next two arcs from the light novels that were not adapted in the previous two seasons of the series. These arcs include Aqua’s wedding to Lord Alderp, and Darkness agreeing to marry him in order to save her family from debt.
In addition to the main characters, other characters will also be featured in the third season of the series. Those characters include Megumin, who is obsessed with Explosion Magic; Aqua, who has a penchant for drinking and party tricks; and Darkness, who is the most powerful of the group.
A prequel anime will be animated for Megumin, who will be showing her schooling life in the Crimson Village. The animation will also explain her obsession with explosions and what led to her fixation on it.
It will feature a lot of fanservice, and it will also have lots of action. The series will be available on Crunchyroll and Disney+.
There will also be a mobile game for Android and iOS. It will be called KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, and it is set to launch on August 19 in Japan. Those who pre-register for the game can win Razer Hammerhead True Wireless earbuds and figures of Aqua and Megumin!
